Changing Lives Through Healthy Options
The concepts of health and well-being encompass more than simply the absence of disease. Well-being encompasses both mental and physical health, representing an individual’s overall perspective on life. Positive well-being is linked to numerous advantages, including improved longevity and productivity. Conversely, negative well-being and health can give rise to issues like depression, isolation, and eating disorders.
Omanye Royal Kingdom believes that access to quality healthcare is a fundamental human right, irrespective of a person’s socioeconomic status or other demographic factors. Our vision is to support initiatives that improve healthcare access and quality in the communities where we operate, with a particular focus on vulnerable populations. We believe that everyone deserves access to affordable, high-quality healthcare, and we will work tirelessly to help make that a reality.
Changing Lives Through Partnerships
We understand that many communities around the world struggle with inadequate access to healthcare, particularly vulnerable populations, such as pregnant women.
That is why we are committed to improving access to quality healthcare in the communities where we operate by partnering with the LifeStart Program, a service geared towards underprivileged pregnant women and infants. The LifeStart Program provides access to safe labor and post-labor services, including labor and delivery support, post-natal care and medical assistance in case of complications during childbirth.
We understand that pregnancy and childbirth can be a particularly challenging time for women, and we believe that every mother should have access to the care and support they need to ensure a safe and healthy pregnancy and delivery. Through the LifeStart Program, we are working to make this a reality for pregnant women in the communities where we operate.
In addition to the LifeStart Program, we are also investing in other initiatives aimed at improving access to quality healthcare. This includes partnering with local healthcare providers, supporting health education programs, and investing in medical research and development.
Citizens and friends of Omanye Royal Kingdom in partnership with LifeStart visited Alorkpem and Pediatorkope, Ada, Ghana, in support of underprivileged women and children within the community.
Lady Mercy Quartey (Project Lead of LifeStart) and her team presented donations of clothing, sanitary products and other post-natal care items to the mothers. HRM, Queen Vickylextar in conjunction with Sir Pierre Saint-Georges, MD, took time to answer various medical questions posed by members of the community. Seeing the various needs, HRM Queen Vickylextar promised medical training and equipment on our next visit.
